  This park is delightful at any time of year. There are numerous paths around the Millstone River, through rainforest, gardens and grassy Hills and expanses. There is a duck pond and an outdoor amphitheatre where naturalists frequently give presentations. There are recreational facilities, tennis courts, lawn bowling and a seasonal, outdoor swimming pool. There are picnic facilities and cook houses. The park covers several acres of land. Check it out.

  Great paths for hikes and bikes. Good sand based volleyball court. Lots of shade. Beautiful rose garden. Good places for picnics!

  Bowen park has nearly every amenity you would want for a good time summer or winter. Frisbee golf, community center, outdoor swimming pool, lawn bowling, tennis courts, they have 2 small playgrounds, duck ponds and fountains. You can walk along the river right to downtown Nanaimo. Nice and cool under the shade of the trees in the summer. Pokestops for Pokemon Goer's. I'm probably forgetting something because there is so much. Just don't go after dark.
