- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆A ghostly past at this spot.Dec.4/1868 Peter Kakua murdered his wife and in-laws.He was charged and convicted for murder in a court in Victoria.Pet was a miner of Hawaiian descent. His wife was aboriginal, Seems the lady wanted to leave a abusive relationship.Being neither Caucasian nor First Nation descent no one wanted him buried in their cemetery for his heinous crime.Kakua's body was buried but dug up and moved to a unmarked grave at Kanaka Bay on Newcastle Island.By Tom, December 19, 2016
