  It's true what they say about the fries at this place! Their fish and chips are to die for. Have come to Nanaimo just for Pirate Chips on a couple occasions because it's so tasty and memorable. Service has always been excellent and you gotta love their "Fries Before Guys" shirts :D

  Pirates Chips, name is extremely fitting the rob you of your hard earned money and there food should be thrown over board. No reason a restaurant should still be opened in todays economy. The Food is edible at best nothing hidden treasurer's at this dump ! avoid at all costs

  If you are looking for a scrumptious decadent treat or meal then this is the place for you. Enhanced with its additional sidewalk cafe seating as well as we happened to come across this fine establishment on a Tuesday which currently offers a free, yes I said FREE kids menu on Tuesdays, which my son thoroughly enjoyed. If you're in the mood for some very tasty well-prepared food that does not necessarily fit into your diet plan then visit Pirate Chips you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend the peanut butter burger and the deep fried Nanaimo bar. Enjoy!

  Underwhelming - small pieces of fish for the burger, a bunch of little bits and pieces of fries, table was sticky, server was not friendly, only one high chair for the whole restaurant, which was being used when we were there. I appreciated the kids playhouse, crayons and toys. But the place could use a good cleaning and friendlier staff.
